About the Project

The Bank of Papua New Guinea launched its Regulatory Sandbox in December 2019- its the first of its kind among the Forum Island Countries.

The Regulatory Sandbox will provide a controlled environment for the testing of new technologies to create new social and economic opportunities. A Sandbox is a mechanism for developing regulation that keeps up with the fast pace of innovation.
