At the request of the government, the UNCITRAL secretariat is providing input in finalising the legal framework for the use of electronic transactions and electronic signatures based on UNCITRAL texts, namely the Model Law on Electronic Commerce and the Model Law on Electronic Transferable Records, and to acceding to the UN Convention on the Use of Electronic Communications in International Contracts.
