Registration is now open for Small Island Developing States (SIDS) in the Pacific to undertake an e-learning course on Digital Identity from 13 February to 31 March 2023.
The training is part of United National Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) TrainForTrade Programme and has been crafted to meet the needs and expectations of the beneficiary SIDS from Africa, Caribbean, Asia and the Pacific to adopt trade policies that foster digital economy development and enhance crisis responsiveness. The course is delivered in collaboration with the Pacific Digital Economy Programme, a joint initiative of UNCDF, UNDP and UNCTAD, with financial support from the Government of Australia.
In the words of Mark Assaf Chief, TrainForTrade: “We are delighted to open up registration to this unique course. We would urge beneficiary countries from the Pacific to enrol their policymakers, private sector members and relevant institutions to equip their teams with the understanding of developing digital identity policies related to trade and development.”
Officials from Pacific SIDS can directly self-register at https://tft-reg.unctad.org, then select “Digital Identity for Trade and Development 2023” and use the access code, 2023.DITD.
