The Solomon Islands Unified QR Code Project is an initiative led by the Central Bank of Solomon Islands (CBSI), in partnership with the Government of Australia, to support the development of a more open, inclusive, and interoperable digital payments ecosystem. The project aims to establish a unified QR code payment standard that enables secure and convenient digital transactions across participating payment providers, supporting use cases such as person-to-person and merchant payments. By promoting interoperability and greater access to digital payment services, the initiative seeks to strengthen financial inclusion, reduce barriers to digital payments, and contribute to the development of a modern and efficient national payments system in Solomon Islands.
