The Smart Islands programme is transforming Hunga in Tonga by enhancing digital literacy and skills among its community members. The initiative offers training on essential topics such as basic digital literacy, online safety, and using digital services for education, finance, and power. Special focus is placed on empowering women and girls, alongside raising awareness about child online protection. This initiative supports sustainable development and community empowerment through technology, aligned with the SDG goals in the Pacific region.
