Improved Communications in South Malekula

About the Project

The Smart Islands Vanuatu Programme, targeting the rural population of South Malekula is working closely with the community to improve and enhance access to ICT infrastructure and services. The initiative includes the expansion of the VSAT network at South Malekula Secondary School, improved data network at the hospital, and the erection of a shared base station to supply broadband services to beyond smart island areas.

Project sites implementing the Smart Islands Vanuatu Program includes Malfakal, Bonvor, Farun, Renaur and Hokai villages, South Malekula Secondary School and Akhamb Island.
