Promoting mobile payment for South Malekula

About the Project

To support the Smart Islands Vanuatu Programme, three mobile wallet service providers in Vanuatu offered hands-on workshops to villagers with support from an ITU expert. The people of South Malekula have now started using MyCash, IsiMoney, and M-Vatu payments, replacing the costly travel to
town

Project sites implementing the Smart Islands Vanuatu Program includes Malfakal, Bonvor, Farun, Renaur and Hokai villages, South Malekula Secondary School and Akhamb Island.
