The webinar series aims to introduce Kovena and Hotel Link Pay to the Pacific Island Countries hospitality and accommodation sector while also addressing familiar industry pain points such as the ‘one size fits all’ approach by traditional banking institutions, the variance found in service fees, frequently required large security bonds and lengthy set-up lead times.

The Online Payment Solutions webinar firstly took place in 2021 and hosted over 80 participants from across Fiji’s travel and tourism sector. As part of PTI Australia’s Digital Tourism program, the highly successful webinar addressed familiar industry pain points such as the rigidity of traditional banking solutions, variance found in service fees, large security bonds and lengthy set-up lead times.

In 2022, the webinar was reproposed to Fiji (five participants) and extended to Cook Islands (four participants), Kiribati (two participants), Palau (two participants), Samoa (one participant), Solomon Islands (two participants), Tonga (one participant), and Vanuatu (one participant).
