UNCTAD eWeek: Shaping Our Digital Future with Global Insights
From 4 to 8 December 2023, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) will hold the next edition of the eWeek.
Digitalisation is one of the most influential mega-trends that will affect development outcomes in the short and medium term and determine our future.
The 2023 eWeek edition will, therefore, look at the main issues underpinning our digital future: from the need to green the digital economy, to ensuring that small digital players can thrive in the current large tech-dominated environment, to how artificial intelligence is changing the landscape, and how we can have more women in the digital economy. It will discuss how we can bring about the future we want in the digital space in an inclusive way that doesn’t leave anyone further behind.
The UNCTAD eWeek will offer a unique opportunity for constructive and inclusive dialogue to generate insights and actions that can feed into global efforts, particularly the ongoing work of the UN Global Digital Compact process leading up to the 2024 Summit of the Future.
