ANZ Vanuatu Partners with M-Vatu to transform Digital Banking

About the Project

ANZ Vanuatu has successfully integrated with Vodafone Vanuatu’s M-Vatu mobile money platform, allowing for a seamless banking experience for customers across Vanuatu. This is a major milestone in Vanuatu’s financial landscape as this bridges the gap between formal banking with accessible mobile money solutions that allows for reach to customers in remote areas with limited access to the bank.

This integration allows customers to instantly transfer funds between their mobile wallets and ANZ bank account, using the ANZ internet banking platform.

This project directly implements Measure 5.2.1 of the Strategy and is linked to the PIFS program on ‘Improving interoperability between payment service providers at national level’
